The mentoring process is one of the most important components for a successful continuous improvement deployment. Often, students and leaders are given some training and then left on their own to execute projects and this has led to less than 15% actual execution of initiatives by trained belts and some cases misapplication of the tools, projects that languish, and organizational frustration.
We have found, over the years, that a regimented coaching schedule is the most effective way to embed a deep understanding of the LSS methodology and tools and ensure timely project completion.
